Detector Find & Polished, 200-400 A.D Roman Bronze Figural Signet Ring

£75.00

An authentic Roman bronze signet ring dating to the Imperial Period 200-400 A.D. Integrally cast from a copper alloy, the ring features expanding shoulders leading to a prominent, raised bezel.

The face of the bezel is decorated with a dynamic, relief, cast figure, most plausibly depicting a human athlete or wrestler in mid-action, a traditional Classical motif associated with strength, heroic virtues, and divine protection (such as Hercules or the Palaestra). The ring has been expertly cleaned and polished to highlight its original luster but we have left some of its original patine to attest its AUTHENTICITY, so buy with confidence.

Please Note: Although the ring's band is adjustable, adjustment is not recommended due to its age. Applying force to resize it risks breaking the metal
