Returns policy

At www.britanniatreasures.co.uk, we want to ensure a fair and transparent experience for all our customers. Because our items are genuine detector finds, specific conditions apply to returns and refunds. Please read our policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. General Return Window & Eligibility

  • Timeframe: We accept returns within 14 days of receipt.

  • Condition: All returned items must be in their original condition.

  • Valid Reason for Return: Returns are accepted only if the item does not match its description.

2. Non-Returnable Items

We are unable to accept returns for the following categories:

  • Personalized / Matched Items: If you choose to purchase an item as part of a matched set (such as a paired shirt or hat)—which is completely optional at checkout—that set cannot be returned.

  • Fully Cleaned or Polished Items: As a standard practice, we leave some patina (mostly on the inner side) to help prove an item's authenticity. If you specifically request us to completely clean or remove the patina, the item becomes non-returnable. This ensures fairness and transparency in how our detector finds are sold.

3. Authenticity Disputes and COAs

All items sold on www.britanniatreasures.co.uk are genuine detector finds, and we can issue a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) upon request.

If you disagree regarding an item's genuineness and wish to return it solely for this reason, we require a formal written statement or letter from an authorized and recognized expert declaring that the item is not genuine.
