Detector Find & Polished, 400-600 A.D Byzantine AE ring. Christogram/chi-Rho Motif.

An authentic and beautifully preserved Byzantine bronze signet ring. The face of the bezel is engraved with an early Christian cross/star motif, a classic devotional symbol frequently used during the Late Roman and Byzantine periods for personal protection and profession of faith. The ring has been carefully cleaned and polished to highlight its warm metallic luster and reveal the sharp details of the bezel engraving. To preserve its historic integrity and attest to its true antiquity, traces of the original dark patina has been intentionally left in the recesses of the metal. Original photo is added when found.
